The gay drug spot!
I must say that I am completely disappointed by the way I have been treated at this bar since its renovation due to poor management and judgement. As a regular customer, I clearly remember dropping over 100 dollars a night, while having "great chemistry" and actively participating at the bar activities.
"Mixology" at Stonewall can be clandestine and emphasizes lack of training, drugs, and emotional abuse. (Where are the licenses for each mixologist?); it clearly got out of hand when cocaine and methamphetamine was introduced as a common subject by staff members... Timi (Timothy J. Hedrich - public record shows his real personality - two arrests due to...(google.com)).
Concluding, being a war veteran and a business owner, I will never come back here and fume away potential customers. I never expected drug trafficking at such bar, too! The lack of positive energy is a major issue!
PS: alcohol was rationed to mixologists because they always drank on duty (perhaps, they still do), disregarding customer service skills and productivity. This comment is just continuity, basically a promise.
The "Friendliest" place in town!
Stonewall is literally the neighborhood bar where everybody knows your name! From day one the owner insisted that "'Everyone is always Welcome" at his bar, that It is your "Home away from Home!" He has passed that positive welcoming energy on, over the past nearly six years, to his entire staff. Until Stonewall, I had never even heard of a bar where the bartender gave you a hug when you entered and left. It makes a difference! This "Little Bar That Could" is proof positive that Great things happen to good people. After several years in a row of sweeping the local Gay Awards (Watermark paper's Wave Awards) and growing by leaps and bounds, they are actually having to add on to the space to accomodate the throngs of guests who want to make Stonewall Orlando their, "Home Away from Home!" Ex-Entertainment Manager and 'Stonewall Family' member for life...Julian Bain
Friendly neighborhood bar
Stonewall is one of the best places in Orlando to make new friends because it is truly welcoming to everyone. Stonewall is clean and well-decorated, features an incredible sound system, great music, great lighting, friendly bartenders, and plenty of entertainment every night of the week; bingo, poker, and karaoke, each with their own unique twists, to name a few. Also, the neighborhood really isn't as bad as people think.
A great neighborhood bar!
Great staff, kick ass drinks and lots of fun! Bearaoke is awesome and DJ Vegas rocks it on Friday nights!
Can be fun
Cheap drinks, low attitude, nice large outdoor patio make this a fun place depending on the crowd. It is in the hood however, parking can be scary.
You won't find love, hopelessness in abundance.
Fun neighborhood bar
I don't know where some of the negative reviewers got their information. True, the bar is in a run-down neighborhood but not to the extent that others describe. The bar isn't dirty but is a little too smoky in my opinion. It obviously wasn't decorated by Martha Stewart but that's a good thing. No one hassled me to buy drinks (after all, it's a bar and everyone is there to drink). The staff and patrons are good, fun people. And, I went on underwear night which is great. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in town.
fun bar, but take a cab!
Fun bar with nice crowd (late 20's to way up there). Cute bartenders. Food is not so hot.
The biggest problem with this place is it's location. It's in the heart of the ghetto. I would not leave my car on the street. There are dealers on every corner and cops slowly driving down every street. If you're going, park on the other side of the I-4 overpass and walk a few blocks over.
