I live across the street

This is sort of the "see and be seen" place in Thornton Park (the gay 'hood in downtown). It's on the moderately expensive side ($13 Hendrick's martinis and $24 glazed pork chops with mashed potatoes and a nice mix of veggies). But they do it very well and I find it worth the price. The bartenders are all great and very friendly. Two sips into your martini and they come and pour it into a fresh frozen glass and replenish any garnishes. I'm serious about that. Plus they pour very large martinis. Makes the $13 so worth it! The food is very good along the lines of what you'd find at say a Buckhead Management place in Atlanta (best analogy I could think of). Nothing to write home about but still very good and worth the price. The 3rd Sunday of the month is the "big brunch" and it is not to be missed. Get there early so you can sit on the patio and bask in the sunshine whilst getting re-drunk on bloody marys and admiring the pretty people strolling by.

Yummy, upscale, fun

Pricey, but fun downtown location with great food. Have lunch, a cocktail and take a walk down Orange Ave and get some gellatto for dessert.

Sunday

Enjoyed dinner with a friend in this nice looking restaurant in a great area. Service was very good, starter flat bread was very good, main dish was a little oversalted but the well priced flight of grand marnie made up for it.

Best for Sunday Brunch

The food at Hue is excellent but a bit pricey. I love their lobster bisque and the chocolate souffle was so amazing I think it was better than my own. I have since experimented and enhanced my own recipe that i have made for years. I will not tell you my secret, but I am now back on top and thank Hue for making me re-evaluate my long standing recipe and make it even better. The lamb chops are excellent. The problem is with eating inside. There are so few tables you cannot believe it's a restaurant. The acoustics are terrible and it's way too loud to eat inside if the bar is crowded and it usually is. Sunday Brunch is always fun if the weather is nice and you get a spot on the patio. See and be seen. It's on a busy corner of a gay and fabulous neighborhood. You will say hello to at least 3 people who are just walking by. The 3rd Sunday of every month, is Disco Brunch. They bring in a DJ who spins the Disco oldies. Do not challenge me to name that tune. I am very competitive and will win on most every song. $2 mimosa or $4 double mimosas and an amazing build your own bloody mary bar make it a must for Sundays. I love the Sunny & Cher (their take on Eggs Benedict) on Sundays. This place is way cool

Used 2b a regular

Lived within walking distance of Hue and was happy to see it open. Agree with another reviewer, however, it's really hit or miss and crawling with "seekers" on Thurs night. Favorite item: the oysters. Always order them to share and they've always been a 10. Fish, not so fresh on Sunday night. As a bonus, there is a terrific bookstore next door that is very gay friendly and has lots of accomodating literature. It's a wonderful neighborhood even if it is a little to full of itself.
