Hi everyone! Here's an update on our parade entry. I'm excited to share that this year we will have a float! CTA has rented us a pre-made float with truck/driver. We just have to show up decked out in rainbow colors and walk along with it. We are having 3 banners printed, 2 for the float and 1 to carry between 2 people. We will also be carrying a CTA banner. Hi everyone! Here's an update on our parade entry. I'm excited to share that this year we will have a float! CTA has rented us a pre-made float with truck/driver. We just have to show up decked out in rainbow colors and walk along with it. We are having 3 banners printed, 2 for the float and 1 to carry between 2 people. We will also be carrying a CTA banner. You do not have to be a CTA member to walk with us but if you are an OCPS teacher we encourage you to join! :) We will be meeting October 5th at the CTA office to bag candies to hand out (we aren't allowed to toss candy). We will also have a few handheld posters for some people to carry. Parking on October 8th: You may park for free in the East Parking Lot at Howard Middle School. However, there are only about 20 spaces there. After that lot is filled please feel free to park on the soccer field but parking there is $10. (It is a fundraiser for the Howard Visual Arts Program). I'll post here when I find out what number in the parade we are and when we are supposed to be lined up. Please continue to share our event.
